Learn French at the Alliance: Now Enrolling for the Spring Term
The Alliance of Los Angeles has classes for all levels and interests. Our programs feature native-fluent, experienced teachers who create a lively and highly interactive dynamic in small group classes (4-6 students). Classes meet in our offices which are conveniently located on the corner of Santa Monica and Beverly Glen in CenturyCity.

AVAILABLE DISCOUNTS EARLY BIRD: All students currently enrolled in the WINTER term will receive a 10% discount off their tuition for the SPRING term if they register by Saturday, February 27. Please visit or call us at (310) 652-0306 during business hours to register. CHILDREN'S CLASSES: All students will receive a 10% discount when a child registers for two or more classes in the same term, or if two or more siblings register within the same term. Both registrations must be completed together at the same time. FRIEND REFERRAL: All students who refer a friend for the SPRING 1 term will get a 15% discount guaranteed toward their enrollment in the next SPRING 2 term. Your friend will also get a 10% welcome discount! Please note: Discounts are non-cumulative and apply to full-course tuitions only (no pro-rata). Discounts do not apply for class materials.
OH LA LA! I Speak French! Practise your French with a smile ! A webisode to learn French, hosted by Nikki Nemzer and Soraya Garré, and in partnership with the Alliance Française de Los Angeles. The idea of this innovative educational webisode is to give French learners extra fun material to improve their language skills. Throughout its various episodes, you will follow the adventures of Nini, Soso and “the boys” (Paul 1 & Paul 2). More information.

MARCH The Alliance is celebrating Francophonie
March is the official month of La Fete de la Francophonie. This month long festival is intended to celebrate the international French speaking community known as La Francophonie. The Alliance Française is celebrating Francophonie with two major events.
MARCH 11 A Swiss Corner at the Alliance The first event will take place on March 11 from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm with the opening of a Swiss corner at Alliance. The Consulate General of Switzerland has donated approximately forty fiction and non fiction books about Switzerland, its history, art and literature including novels written by contemporary French speaking Swiss writers.
We are delighted to have the presence of the Consul General of Switzerland the Honorable Bruno Ryff and the consul in charge of Cultural Affairs Mr. Christophe Vauthey at the dedication of the Swiss section of the Alliance library.
The opening of the painting exhibition by Mrs. Marlyse Ruess will occur the same evening. Mrs. Ruess is a Swiss artist born in Lebanon, whose palette is strongly influenced by the Mediterranean sun.
Also not to be missed is the Wine, Swiss cheeses and chocolate tasting.

MARCH 13 A Celebration of Francophone Africa and the French Caribbean islands
African French is the generic name of the varieties of French spoken by an estimated 115 million African people spread across 31 francophone African countries. Please join acclaimed television and film actress Kymberly S. Newberry, and African film scholar, Moussa Bocoum as we become part of the world-wide celebration of the French language at the Alliance. An afternoon of tandem French/English readings of classical Francophone African literature, a dazzling multimedia presentation, a rare insight into the creative genius of African filmmaker, Ousmane Sembene, a musical trek through the African continent, and of course, a light culinary delight from one of our Francophone African countries. An information packet will be provided with useful facts, glossaries and interesting articles. All profits generated from this event will be donated to a charity for Haitian Earthquake Victims.
