TESTS AND DIPLOMAS
The Alliance Française offers certifications and diplomas for speakers of other languages. Exams take place at the Alliance Française of Pasadena. For more information, contact Alliance Française of Pasadena at afdepasadena@earthlink.net.
DELF & DALF 1) DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language. DELF and DALF are composed of 6 independent diplomas that correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and are consistent with the international standards for test development.
There is also a specially adapted version of the DELF diplomas for teenagers: DELF Junior.
TCF - DAP
2) TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) - DAP (Demande d'Admission Préalable) is a test required for admission to undergraduate studies in a French university.
Who Should Take These Tests?
• Anybody wanting to assess their level of French. • Students of the Alliance Française, at any level, who wish to assess their skills before or after a session of classes. • School students who are building their portfolio for university admission. • University students who are seeking admission to a French university or employment in a French-speaking country. • Employees seeking employment or promotion.
