Learn French at the Alliance: Now Enrolling for the Winter Term
The Alliance of Los Angeles has classes for all levels and interests. Our programs feature native-fluent, experienced teachers who create a lively and highly interactive dynamic in small group classes (4-6 students). Classes meet in our offices which are conveniently located on the corner of Santa Monica and Beverly Glen in CenturyCity.

AVAILABLE DISCOUNTS CHILDREN'S CLASSES: All students will receive a 10% discount when a child registers for two or more classes in the same term, or if two or more siblings register within the same term. Both registrations must be completed together at the same time. FRIEND REFERRAL: All students who refer a friend for the SPRING 1 term will get a 15% discount guaranteed toward their enrollment in the next SPRING 2 term. Your friend will also get a 10% welcome discount! Please note: Discounts are non-cumulative and apply to full-course tuitions only (no pro-rata). Discounts do not apply for class materials.
FEBRUARY 13 French Family Festival & Open House, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm Save the date! On Saturday, February 13 Alliance Française de Los Angeles will have its first Family Festival from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. Learn about our classes for children and talk with our teachers and students. Celebrate French culture with a day of music, dance, food, and art, inspired by French painters. Try your hand at art-making workshops, enjoy musical performances, and savor French crepes. Sign up for our classes and get a 10% discount. Special guests:Mad Alsacians with Nathalie Broizat and Jason Jenn

Schedule
Workshop 1– 10:30 am to 11:15 am: Mommy & Me (1 to 2 years old) Led by Patricia, this French language immersion class will introduce your toddler to new sounds and to Francophone culture through a mix of fun activities, games, songs, rhymes, storytelling and dance. One caregiver must accompany each child during classes. Space limited to 8 children. Reserve your spot early.
Workshop 2 – 11:30 am to 12:15 pm: Mini-group “French Painters” (3 to 6 years old) We invite your children to discover French painters! The Alliance Française will become the studio for the next little Mondrian, Braque, or Picasso - all in French. Space limited to 12 children. Reserve your spot early.
Parent Workshop, 11:45 am to 12:15 pm: Raising your children bilingual While your child is at play, join School Coordinator Sophie Ripoll, M.A in Bilingual education, for a casual workshop highlighting and discussing the essential points of bilingualism and bilingual education.
12:15 pm to 1:30 pm: Break, crepes served, tattoos and a musical performance by Nathalie Broizat & Jason Jenn French performance artist and actress Nathalie Broizat will perform a short theatrical piece with her acolyte Jason Jenn. Based on classic selections from the French song book, this show – a mixture of mime, dance and theater - will shed an original light on traditional scenes of daily life in France with humor and irony. A delight for children and adults alike. Also during the break: Hand Crafted French Crepes by Acadie and sparkle and glitter tattoos (non-toxic, easy to apply and remove).
Workshop 3 – 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm: Mini-group “Carnival” (3-6 years old) Let’s celebrate “Fat Tuesday”! This workshop will focus on the “Carnival” theme. We will create a variety of masks and it will be up to your child to decide which one he will wear that day! All in French. While the children will be busy with Patricia, Pascal Dubois* will introduce the parents to a collection of French tales on audio CDs. Space limited to 12 children. Reserve your spot early
*Specializing in the production of French-language storytelling CDs since 2003, Oui’Dire publishing has succeeded in bringing together a pool of talented artists. Originally based in France, they have opened an office in Los Angeles this Fall and have at heart to expand their catalogue by producing CDs from and for both sides of the Atlantic.
